Vegetation Drying Quickly

Starting this Monday, burning will only be allowed during the overnight hours.

CAL Fire announces that debris burning will be limited to 7pm-8am, on permissive burn days, with a valid burn permit. It applies to the state responsibility areas of CAL Fire in both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.

CAL Fire officials report that you can only burn clean, dry vegetation in a pile no larger than 4-feet-by-4-feet.

Suspension of all outdoor burning will take effect on Friday, June 1st.
