A Car Fire Ignites A Brush Blaze In Sonora

Sonora, CA — It happened on Big Hill Road and Sawmill Flat Road this morning.

CHP reports the car was totally burned out and all four tires blew and melted.

The flames from the car sparked a grass fire nearby. Cal Fire says they were able to contain the flames quickly with three engines on the scene.

CHP has no word on any injuries or what ignited the blaze.
