Father’s Day Weekend Events

Many Father’s Day breakfast events are happening throughout the Mother Lode both Saturday and Sunday.

The Columbia Airport 2012 Father’s Day Fly-In also Offers a pancake breakfast at 7-11am both days followed by demonstrations, vendors and displays. Jerry Maxwell, aviation enthusiast and blogger who covers the Reno Air Races for myMotherLode.com provided a detailed story and photos about annual demonstrations here.

In Calaveras, the Murphys-Angels Lions Club 5th Annual Classic Car Show is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event is held by the Black Bart Playhouse and features the cars, music, food and more. Also in Calaveras one of few limited engagement fundraisers for PAWS, the “Wines, Tigers & Beers” event listed here.  PAWS defines itself as “a humane sanctuary for animals who have been the victims of the exotic and performing animal trades.” They also take in unwanted and retired animals from zoos.
