Avery Rollover Accident

Avery, CA — A Calaveras County man was flown to a hospital following a rollover accident on Highway 4.

It happened over the weekend near Lower Moran Road. The CHP reports that 62-year-old James Behm of Hathaway Pines drifted off the right side of the road in his 1993 Toyota and overturned into a ditch. He was air-lifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto to treat what were described as “moderate injuries.”

The CHP conducted one-way traffic control for nearly an hour while cleanup took place. Behm was later charged with DUI.
