Wallace, CA — A federal court judge has denied the latest appeal regarding the Trinitas Golf Course in Wallace.
The appeal was filed in bankruptcy court by attorneys for Michael and Michelle Nemee, and argued that golf should be allowed under the agro-tourism designation. It is a somewhat moot point for the Nemees, as prior to the ruling, the property was foreclosed upon. The latest ruling, that was released late last week, was handed down by Judge Lawrence J. O’Neil.
The 280 acre Trinitas project has been a contentious issue in Calaveras County for the past several years.
