Columbia, CA — A meeting will be held Tuesday night to hear about an effort to protect the North Bald Mountain area from a wildfire.
The Highway 108 Fire Safe Council has received a Proposition 40 grant to create a fuel break. The non-profit council, and CAL Fire, will host a meeting about the project for neighboring property owners.
Fire Safe Council President Jerry Tannhauser says the meeting is for land owners along Bald Mountain Rd., No. Cedarcrest Rd, Big Hill Rd., Red Clay RD., Shale Rock Rd., Dondero Rd., Ridgemont Rd., Columbia Crest and Covington Mine Rd.
It will begin at 6pm at the Eagle Cotage inside Columbia State Park.
