Traffic Delays For Motorists

Tuolumne County, CA – You can expect up to 20 minute delays if you’re heading on Highway 49 from HWY 108 to Washington Street in Sonora. Caltrans will be paving beginning Sunday, July 22 through Friday, July 27 from 8:00p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Crews will also close the northbound connector ramp at the HWY 49/ 108 junction near Sonora during the period.

Crews will be doing construction in Calaveras County as well. Highway 4 from Hunt Road to Pool Station Road will be down to one lane as Caltrans will be excavating the roadway. Work begins Monday, July 23 through Saturday, July 28 from 6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Caltrans says motorists can expect 15 minute delays.

Also, State Route 26 at Main Street in West Point will be shut down for utility work.


Caltrans says work will begin on Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27 from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Motorists should expect 5 minute delays.

Caltrans encourages motorists to take alternate routes whenever possible and avoid delays.
