Meet Sabrina Little, the 2012-2013 Miss Tuolumne County.
Little was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Twenty-one year old Little was crowned as Miss Tuolumne County on Saturday August 4th. She was competing against two other ladies for the title.
Little has been nearly a lifelong resident of Tuolumne County and attended Summerville High School as well as Gold Rush Charter School.
Both of Little’s parents attended the pagent, “and my mom cried”, said Little. Little also has one older sister and a nephew.
According to Little, the pagent included an interview portion which was worth the most points. The competition also included evening wear, model wear and a talent portion in which she danced.
“I’ve been dancing my entire life,” said Little. “Onstage Dance Studio recently celebrated their ten year anniversary, and I’ve been with them since the day they started.”
Eventually, Little would like to move to a large city and become involved in professional dancing.
Additionally, Little would like to attend school and learn more about health and nutrition. She currently works at Nature’s Whole Foods Depot in Standard.
For being crowned Miss Tuolumne County, Little was awarded an $800 Scholarship, a $250 gift certificate for Taylor Jewlers, a crown, sash and a large beautiful trophy.
The next public appearance for Miss Tuolumne County will likely be in Groveland during the ’49er Festival Parade and Chili Cookoff’ in September.
The KVML “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
