Sonora Woman Hurt In Crash

Sonora, CA — A Sonora woman was taken to a hospital in Modesto following a crash on Highway 108/120.

It happened at 12:45 yesterday afternoon. The CHP says 58-year-old Connie Miller allowed her 1996 Saturn to drift into the opposing traffic lane, and hit the side of an oncoming big rig truck. The Saturn spun around and came to a rest on the shoulder of Highway 108/120. Miller had to be extricated from the car by fire department personnel, and she was flown to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. She suffered a broken left femur and arm.

The CHP reports that Miller had gotten distracted by looking at a purse or bag on her passenger seat. The crash occurred just east of J-59.
