Twain Harte, CA — Loud bangs lit up Tuolumne County Sheriff’s phone lines on Monday night around 9:30. Several Twain Harte residents reported loud booms going off.
Sheriff’s Officials report deputies checked out the incident, but found no sign of explosions or gun shots being fired. Sgt. Jeff Wilson says he has a clue what it might be. Wilson says “They’re called dry ice bombs. Kids use a plastic bottle and put the ice in it and then wait about 15 minutes and the pressure builds up and the bottle explodes making a loud boom.”
Wilson says there were no reports of injuries or property damage.
