Sonora Regional Medical Center celebrated the success of its Center For Wound Care.
It was the recipient of a “Center of Distinction Award,” handed out by Diversified Clinical Services, Incorporated. SRMC has achieved “Outstanding Patient Outcomes” for 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rating of 98%.
Diversified Clinical Services, based in Florida, partners with nearly 325 hospitals to help deliver wound care to patients.
The award was presented last night at an Open House for the Center for Wound Care, located on Covey Circle. “We are very pleased, and It is largely due to the efforts of our staff,” says Dr. Eden Smith, Medical Director for the Center. “Our nurses are very dedicated, well trained, and very caring individuals.”
SRMC’s Center for Wound Care opened about three years ago. It houses a hyperbaric oxygen chamber,, which hospital officials say is unique for a community of this size.
