Red Flag Warning For Stanislaus National Forest

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Stanislaus National Forest through 5 am Wednesday.

Lower slope winds of five to fifteen mph are expected. Winds of ten to twenty mph with gusts ranging from thirty to forty mph are likely over the ridge tops and higher peaks.

Relative humidity are as low as 10 to 15 percent.

With extremely dry fuels and high fire growth potential, any fires that do develop will likely spread rapidly.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.
