Sonora, CA – Caltrans is shutting down highway 108 from Hess Avenue to Cavalieri Road for blasting on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, from 3p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
They say motorists could see 10 minute delays on the bypass so you may want to go a different route like Mono Way.

This work is part of the $52.9 million SR-108 East Sonora Bypass Stage II Project which began on April 19, 2012. The project will construct a two lane expressway on a new alignment from Peaceful Oak Road to Via Este Road. The project will be built as a continuation of the East Sonora Bypass Stage I, which was completed in 2002. Caltrans says the project will ease congestion, improve mobility, decrease travel times, improve operations, and enhance safety for both commute and recreational traffic in Tuolumne County.
