Soulsbyville, CA — CHP says the accident happened on last Friday around 5pm, but they are still not revealing the name pending notification of family members.
CHP reports the driver of a 2000 Honda Civic, a 53 year old Soulsbyville woman, started to exit Highway 108 onto Soulsbyville Road when for unknown reasons she drove straight into the raised median, struck a wooden sign post and hit a traffic light pole.
The driver was air-lifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, but died the next morning.
CHP reports the crash is under investigation and they are trying to determine if alcohol played a factor.
