San Andreas, CA — A former Mother Lode priest is in more legal trouble.
The Associated Press reports that a San Joaquin County lawsuit filed yesterday claims Michael Kelly sexually abused a 12-year-old boy in the 1980s when he was a priest at St. Andrews Church in San Andreas. Five months ago, jurors found Kelly liable for the molestation of an altar boy in Stockton in the 1980s. The Catholic Diocese of Stockton paid nearly $4 million to settle that suit.
Kelley has since moved back to his native Ireland.
