Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will tackle a somewhat short agenda tonight.
The Council will vote whether to approve street closures for a couple of upcoming parades. Highway 49 (Washington Street) will be closed for a period on Friday, October 12th for the Sonora High School Homecoming Parade. In addition, Highway 49 will be shut down the night of Friday, November 23rd for the City of Sonora Christmas Parade.
Also, the Council will vote whether to send a letter to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to place the city in its national database. There will also be an introduction of Matthew Sieperda, the newest officer with the Police Department. Tonight’s meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
