The Calaveras County Supervisors meet Tuesday.
The Board will vote whether to approve an increase in the contract with Flintco Pacific Industries for the construction of the new jail. $194K is needed to cover unexpected aspects of construction, such as the need for additional mechanical piping. In addition, the county will vote on a $16K change order for PSA Dewberry, Inc. for the design work of the jail. The jail project is on schedule to be completed by mid-summer of 2013.
Also Tuesday, the Board will vote whether allow the Chief Probation Officer to execute an agreement with Sacramento County for the use of the Sacramento Youth Detention Facility. It would be at a per diem rate of $120 per day.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
