According to the National Weather Service there is a threat of thunderstorms in the Sierra Nevada through Thursday night.
Small hail and brief heavy rains are expected with the thunderstorms.
Rainfall amounts will be less than a quarter of an inch.
Snow accumulations of one to two inches are possible above 8500 through 9000 feet.
