Sonora High Speed Chase

Sonora, CA — A man in a stolen car raced down the streets of Sonora and lead Tuolumne County Deputies on a high speed chase recently.

Sheriff’s officials report 34 year old Joshua Connolly of Mountain Ranch was driving a stolen car when police spotted him. They say the car had been spray painted to avoid detection. The chase ended on Overlook Drive when Connolly jumped out of the car and fled the scene.

Hours later, deputies got a tip that Connolly was at a house on Campo Seco Road in Jamestown. Several Deputies went to the house and arrested Connolly without incident.

Connolly is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and felony evasion of a Peace officer.
