Caltrans reports possible snow has forced the closing of two passes. The Sonora and Ebbetts Passes have been closed.
Caltrans Spokesperson Angela DaPrato says, “State Route Highway 108 at Kennedy Meadows closed around 1:30 p.m. today. It will remain closed until further notice from our maintenance crews; depending on weather conditions, if we’re going to get more snow, or how much snow we receive today.”
Also Highway 4 Ebbetts pass is shut down at the Mount Reba turnoff to the Highway 89 junction because of snow.
There is no word if either pass will reopen anytime soon.
Highway 120 Tioga Pass is still open, however, that could change at any time. You can keep checking road conditions on mymotherlode.com by clicking on traffic.
