There appears to be support for ending the death penalty in California, but not for a proposition dealing with payroll deductions.
A Field Poll released this morning shows that 45% are in favor of Proposition 34 (repealing the death penalty and replacing it with a life sentence), 38% are opposed and 17% are undecided. On Proposition 32, which would prohibit payroll deductions for campaign contributions, 50% are opposed, 34% in favor and 16% are undecided.
The election is coming up on Tuesday.
