Wet Weekend Ahead

Two storm systems will affect the Mother Lode. The first one will arrive Thursday night into Friday. A second and stronger storm is forecast from Saturday night into Monday.

Snow levels will range from 6000 through 7500 feet before dropping to 6000 through 6500 feet on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, five inches to three feet of snow accumulation is possible in the Sierra Nevada.

One inch to one inch and a half of rain may fall in the central valley.

Breezy and gusty winds are likely with the second storm.

Unsettled weather may continue through much of next week.
