Holly the Jolly Trolley will be in the 29th Sonora Christmas Parade this Friday night beginning at 5:30pm.
Mikayla Feriani with the Tuolumne County Transportation Council and Tranist Agency was Thursday’s KVML “Newmaker of the Day”.
Tuolumne County Transit will run free shuttles and “Holly the Jolly Trolley” to and from downtown Sonora every fifteen minutes from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Pick-up points include Columbia State Historic Park and the Junction Shopping Center in east Sonora.
The parade runs along Washington Street from the Red Church to Restano Way.
Parking will not be allowed along Washington Street from Elkin to William streets after 2 PM.
Later this year, once Dodge Ridge opens, the Dodge Ridge Ski Bus will resume with round-trip rides offered from select Mother Lode location for only $10 and $25 Family Packs.
Finally, the agency plans to bring back YARTS in May of 2013.
YARTS is Yosemite Area Roundtrip Service offered daily between Sonora and Yosemite Valley.
On Saturday and Sunday there are two additional runs starting from and returning to, Groveland.
Earlier this year, the $25 service (which includes park admission) began on May 14 and ended on September 31. The service was considered a great success.
