Columbia, CA — Crews are in the Columbia area this week laying infrastructure for the CVIN broadband project.
5-10 minute delays can be expected on many of the side streets off Parrotts Ferry Road. They include Church Street, Broadway Street, State Street, and Sawmill Flat Road. To view a map of the area, click here. In a different region of the county, crews will be paving O’Byrnes Ferry Road from Shotgun Creek Road to the O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge, as part of the project. Allow yourself extra time when traveling in those areas throughout the week. The 18-county CVIN project was funded by the federal stimulus package in 2009. It is designed to increase the broadband infrastructure of the region.
