Snow will return to the Sierra Nevada and the Mother Lode this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, a storm system will affect the region late Saturday into Sunday.
Snow levels will range from 2500 through 3500 feet, before rising above the Mother Lode on Sunday.
Up to half a foot of snow accumulation is expected in the Sierra.
Additional snow is expected in the mountains on Monday into Tuesday.
