Yosemite, CA — A small plane has gone missing while flying over Yosemite National Park.
The Associated Press reports that the plane left the radar while traveling from Santa Barbara towards Mammoth Lakes. The plane took off on Monday afternoon, and the family of the pilot reported him missing on Tuesday. The unidentified pilot was the only person on board.
The park received assistance yesterday from the Air Force and state emergency services, but the search was limited because of the difficult weather conditions. The search is picking up again today. The plane went off the radar while flying over the North Dome area of the park.
