Tuolumne County Officials Take Oath

Sonora, CA — Newly elected officials were given the oath of office in Tuolumne County this afternoon.

Taking the oath were District Two Supervisor Randy Hanvelt, District Three Supervisor Evan Royce, Sheriff Jim Mele, Clerk-Auditor Debi Russell, Recorder Ken Caetano, Superintendent of Schools Joe Silva, District Attorney Donald Segerstrom and Treasurer Del Hodges.

Immediately following the oath of office, District Four Supervisor John Gray was elected Board Chair for 2011 and District Five Supervisor Dick Pland was elected Vice Chair. The Supervisors will have their first regular session meeting on Tuesday.
