Sonora, CA– Despite a challenging economy in 2010, the Sonora Area Foundation was able to award grants in excess of $1.1 million dollars.
SAF Executive Director Greg Applegate says Sonora Area Foundation will work even harder in 2011 to exceed that amount. During the recession, SAF also realizes a greater need for grant funding and will continue to make food, clothing and shelter top priorities when reviewing grant proposals.
