Angels Camp, CA – Two were arrested in Angels Camp on drug and burglary related charges.
26-year-old Aaron Amaral of West Point was pulled over for a traffic stop and officers found ammunition, meth smoking pipes, burglary tools, a police scanner, a ski mask and gloves inside the vehicle. Amaral was arrested and booked into County Jail. A passenger, identified as 25-year-old Sara M. Taylor of West Point, was also arrested after initially providing false identification to an officer.
Officers later learned that Taylor was renting a room at the Angels Inn Motel, and it was searched because she is on active probation. Inside officers found methamphetamine, smoking pipes, suspected stolen property and two firearms. Additional charges have been added for both suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
