Sonora, CA — Hank Russell has been re-elected Chair and Dick Pland the Vice Chair for the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority.
The two were elected during a recent meeting/retreat in Groveland. Executive Director Larry Cope says the Board of Directors also brainstormed about what to focus on in 2011, noting that one area will be business retention. “Staff will now take that information, and hammer out further details to create an action plan,” says Cope. “That will then come back to the board for approval at a meeting in February.”
During the retreat, the Board also recapped successes from the past year, including the opening of Kohl’s and the current renovation of the Standard Mill. The retreat was held last Friday at Tuolumne Trails in Groveland.
