Sonora, CA — The unemployment rate inched upwards last month in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.
Tuolumne County’s rate for December was 13.7 percent, compared to 13.6 percent the month before. Calaveras County’s rate in December was 16.2 percent, as opposed to 15.9 percent in November. Statewide, California’s unemployment rate is 12.5 percent. The statistics were compiled by the California Employment Development Department.
