West Point, CA – A teen was found dead near a home in West Point, and the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department is treating the case as a homicide.
A West Point man was hiking yesterday afternoon on his property, and found the body of what is believed to be a 15 year old boy. The body was located not far from the hiker’s house, in the 2800 block of Jurs Road. The Sheriff’s Department was notified and they arrived in West Point at 1:50pm. Identification of the boy is pending an autopsy.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department says no further information is being released at this time, as the investigation is ongoing.
