Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will hold its first meeting of February tonight.
The Council will decide whether to apply for a Transportation Planning Grant from Caltrans. If selected, Sonora could receive $250,000 for planning future transportation improvements.
The Council will be asked to accept the Old Wards Ferry Road Realignment Project as completed, and make the stretch a city maintained street. It was realigned as part of the Lowe’s construction.
The City will also decide whether to approve mid-year adjustments to the budget. The city is facing a roughly $400K shortfall for the current fiscal year. Tonight’s meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
