Lungren Urges Change In Bill

Washington, DC.– Congressman Dan Lungren spoke before the House Small Business Committee this week advocating for the repeal of the 1099 tax filing requirement in the current health care bill.

Lungren discussed his bill, The Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act of 2011 and urged that section 9006 of the health care law be repealed immediately.

During his testimony, Representative Lungren stated, “I would suggest to the Committee that Section 9006 conveys the worst possible message to the small business community. It reflects a disconnect with the day to day reality faced by the men and women involved with companies in each and every one of our districts.”

Congressman Dan Lungren represents the 3rd District of California in the U.S. House of Representatives. His district covers Calaveras county.
