Decision Coming On Visitor Center

Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp City Council is scheduled to make a decision on the Visitor Center Tuesday night. The Council will vote whether to approve a lease agreement between the City and the Calaveras County Visitor’s Bureau for $1,139. 40 per month. The contract would be through June 30, 2012.

In other business, the Council will vote whether to transfer ownership of a surplus pickup truck to the Mark Twain Elementary School District.

This week’s City Council meeting will be held at Bret Harte High School in the Multi-Purpose Room. There will be time set aside for Mark Twain Elementary School students to read “Kindness Hero Essays.” It is the annual Kindness Week in Calaveras County.
