Power Outages Spread Across Region

Sonora, CA — Thousands are without power this morning across the Mother Lode.

PG&E reports that 2,120 are without in the Groveland region, 6,000 around Sonora (including Phoenix Lake and Cedar Ridge), 2,200 around Twain Harte, and 2,000 around Tuolumne.

In Calaveras County there is a widespread outage in the Arnold/Dorrington region where 7,200 are without electricity. There are also outages in areas like Angels Camp, Murphys and Vallecito. PG&E reports that many of the outages started after midnight, so crews have had a hard time assessing the damage. There are no estimated times of restoration.
