Sonora, CA — The roads remain a problem across the Mother Lode this morning.
“We’ve got around 30 to 40 trees down on main roads,” says Carol Jackson of the Tuolumne County Public Works Department. “We are working with a crew from CAL Fire to get those out of the way so we can plow all the main roads. Then we will be picking up the side roads.”
Road crews are also finding low hanging power lines across the area, which is slowing progress.
“Anything we can get to right now, we’re plowing,” adds Jackson.
It could be around noon or later when many of the main roads are plowed in Tuolumne County.
