Old Man Winter is ready for more action later this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Motherlode and the Sierra Nevada from Thursday afternoon through late Friday night.
Four to eight inches of snow is possible at 1500 feet. A foot of snow accumulation could fall at 2000 feet. Two feet of new snow is likely at 3000 feet. Two to three feet of snow may fall at 4000 feet. Over four feet of snow is expected at the highest elevations.
Winds of ten to twenty mph are likely in the Motherlode. In the Sierra Nevada, winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph are expected, with some gusts over fifty-five mph along the crest.
