Columbia, CA — T.U.D. crews are quickly making repairs to a failed section of water ditch in the Columbia area.
Because the collapsed section of ditch is in an isolated area, a roughly 80 ft. piece of piping was flown in Wednesday by helicopter. Emergency repairs are being made so that water can flow smoothly into the water tanks. T.U.D. customers in the Big Hill and Columbia areas are being asked to conserve water until further notice. The crews are hoping to have the ditch repaired before the next storm system arrives in the Mother Lode.
