Mokelumne Hill, CA — A Sacramento man suffered major injuries in a motorcycle accident over the weekend in Calaveras County.
The CHP reports that 20-year-old Astin Pierce was riding on Highway 49 north of Mokelumne Hill when he failed to negotiate curve and ran into an oncoming Dodge Durango driven by 73-year-old Albert Dick of San Andreas. Dick was not injured. Pierce was airlifted to Mercy San Juan Hospital for his injuries. The accident was at 4:20pm on Saturday.
