City Council Discusses Transportation Grant

Sonora, CA– The Sonora City Council will meet this week to discuss a transportation grant and farmer’s market vendor fees.

The community based grant is for the amount of $250,000. If funded, the City of Sonora will work in partnership with the Tuolumne County Transportation Council and community members to develop a Revitalization Plan that addresses city issues such as inadequate transit facilities, limited parking and traffic congestion.

The Council will also consider approving a standardized fee of $30.00 per day for all Farmer’s Market vendors. The current fee for agricultural vendors is $25.00. For non-agricultural vendors, the fee is $30.00.
