Growing Number Of Outages

Sonora, CA — More power outages are being reported across the Mother Lode as a result of downed trees.


Tuolumne County now has 14,000 PG&E customers without power. 4,100 are in the greater Sonora area (Phoenix Lake and Cedar Ridge), 3,300 are in Twain Harte, 1,655 in Mi Wuk, 1,260 in Pinecrest, 675 in Long Barn, 670 in Groveland, 460 in Strawberry, 200 in Soulsbyville and 60 in Columbia.


Around 6,400 PG&E customers are without power in Calaveras County. 5,740 are in the greater Arnold area, 180 in West Point, 170 in Murphys, 130 in Wilseyville and 130 in Railroad Flat.


It is unknown when there will be full restoration. Extra resources have been called in from out of state to assist.

Tuolumne Utilities District crews are also busy this afternoon pushing snow and ice out of the water ditches. They need to make sure the ditches are clear so that water can flow to customers.
