Angels Camp, CA — A man has been arrested in Angels Camp for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman.
Officers noticed a woman appearing distressed walking on South Main Street during the early morning hours yesterday. She told the PD that she had just been sexually assaulted at a friend’s residence in the 1000 block of Tuolumne Avenue by an unknown assailant.
An officer went to the residence and arrested 26-year-old Jonathan Fernandes of Angels Camp. He was booked into Calaveras County Jail and faces a felony charge of rape by force.
