Denham Defends Troop Funding

Washington, D.C– Representative Jeff Denham today released a statement in response to the President’s threat to veto a House Republican bill.

The bill would fund U.S troops for the remainder of the year and keep the government operating. Rep. Denham, said:

“The well being of our troops and their families must come before politics. As a veteran, a US Representative and citizen of the United States, I voted yesterday for a bill to ensure the federal government stays open and our troops are funded through the end of the fiscal year. As a nation, we must provide the necessary resources for the brave men and women who risk their lives every day in defense of our freedom.”

Denham’s Congressional District 19 covers Tuolumne County.
