Sonora, CA — There was little change in the area county unemployment rates last month.
Tuolumne County’s rate in March was 14.7 percent compared to 14.6 percent in February. Calaveras County’s rate was unchanged at 16.1 percent.
California’s unemployment rate in March was 12 percent as compared to 12.1 percent in February. The numbers were released this morning by the California Employment Development Department. Statewide, the fields of professional and business services, education, health, and information services added jobs last month.
