Good News For Local Tourism

Sonora, CA– Tourism in Tuolumne County is doing very well. That’s the word from Tuolumne County Visitor’s Bureau Marketing Consultant Bruce Tepper.

According to a new California Travel and Tourism report, total direct spending in Tuolumne County by visitors in 2009 was estimated at $162 million. Tax revenues also remained constant, bringing approximately $9 million in taxes with $2.6 million staying locally in the area.
