San Andreas, CA– Pets owners in Calaveras County may soon be getting some help.
The Employee Satisfaction Team at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital Employee have initiated a drive to help animals whose owners have been affected by a downturn in the economy.
“It is evident this need exists,” said Cathy Davis, Pet Drive Coordinator. “When we delivered the food from our Food Drive in February, staff indicated our animal friends were needy too. Many pets have just been abandoned.”
Donations of pet food, cat litter, animal treats, collars, leashes, and cat carriers can be dropped off at the Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital or the Family Medical Centers in Arnold, Angels Camp, Copperopolis, San Andreas and Valley Springs. The deadline is June 30th.
Needed items will be forwarded to the Resource Connection, Animal Control and the Calaveras Humane Society.
