Angels Camp, CA– A woman was seriously injured Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident in Angels Camp.
The CHP reports that 45-year-old Tracy Phillips of Castro Valley was riding her 1988 Harley Davidson westbound on Highway 4, just east of Hunt Road around 11:30 am. Phillips was behind Michelle Townsend, 45, of Stockton who was riding her 2009 Harley Davidson.
As Townsend entered a turn in the roadway, she allowed her motorcycle to drift onto the westbound shoulder where she lost control of her vehicle. Phillips who was traveling behind, applied her brakes and made an unsafe turn onto the westbound shoulder colliding with Townsend.
The accident caused Phillips to be trapped between the two motorcycles. She was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital for her injuries. Townsend was uninjured.
