Falling Gas Prices

Gas prices are falling, according to a new survey. The Lundberg Survey of fuel prices reports that the average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has dropped about nine cents over the past two weeks.


Analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday that the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.97. Diesel prices also fell about eight cents a gallon over the past two weeks, to $4.14.


In California, the lowest average price was $4.03 in Fresno and San Franciscans paid the highest price at $4.17. The average price of regular unleaded gas in downtown Sonora is $4.07.
