Tuolumne, CA — Connections Academy will remain part of the Summerville Union High School District. The charter agreement for the Visual and Performing Arts Academy was set to expire at the end of this school year.
“Last night the Board of Education renewed the charter agreement for five more years,” says John Keiter, Summerville Union High School Superintendent. “The charter had a few modifications made to it, and Connections Academy will be going strong, right along with Summerville High School, next year.”
It is unknown who will lead the Academy next year, but Keiter expects that decision will come sometime within the next month. Principal Michael Gibson was recently placed on administrative leave. Connections Academy is located on the Summerville High School campus.
